SOHA Artistry of Hair – Salon Policies
Please read all policies before booking your appointment.
As a small business, we rely on commitment and consistency. From 28.2.24, mandatory booking fees apply to all appointments. These policies protect our business, staff, and valued clients.

BOOKING FEE POLICIES
1. A 50% booking fee is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This fee is non-refundable.
2. The booking fee will be deducted from your final bill on the day of service.
3. If you cancel or reschedule with 48 hours’ notice, your fee becomes a credit for future appointments.

CHANGE OF SERVICE
4. Changing your booked service within 48 hours (e.g., reducing a colour service to a haircut) is considered a last-minute cancellation.
5. This will trigger the cancellation policy, as the originally booked time cannot be recovered.

CONFIRMATION
6. A confirmation text is sent four days prior. Reply ‘Y’ to confirm or ‘No’ to cancel. To reschedule, call 0466 105 520. Please do not reply with any personal messages as this is an automated system.
7. If no reply is received within 24 hours, a follow-up message will be sent.
8. If we do not get a response within 24 hours of your initial message, a second confirmation message will be sent two-to-three days prior. Failure to respond by the end of that day, we will attempt a phone call and/or text to confirm.
9. Failure to confirm 48 hours before may result in cancellation and loss of your booking fee.
10. Tuesday appointments will be confirmed on Friday or Saturday. Failure to confirm may also result in cancellation.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS:
11. If you:
* Cancel within 48 business hours,
* Arrive 15+ minutes late, or
* Fail to show up,
your booking fee will be forfeited. Consideration may be applied under special circumstances.
12. Late cancellations may incur a 50% service fee, or up to the full cost.
13. Cancellations must be made in person, by phone, SMS, or online during business hours. Social media messages are not monitored out side of business hours for these requests.
Note: The salon is closed Saturday–Monday.

QUOTES AND PRICING
14. All prices include GST and may vary without notice.
15. Prices displayed are a guide only, Quotes confirmed in-salon after consultation with a stylist.

REDOS / REFUNDS
16. If you’re unhappy with your results, contact us directly via phone call within 7 days. We’re happy to make small tweaks or adjustments.
17. Redos/refunds do not apply to change of mind or failure to follow home care instructions.
18. These services are complimentary unless we do new work that is outside the scope of what was discussed and agreed upon prior to your original appointment commencing.
19. Corrections beyond 7 days will be considered new appointments.
20. As per the Small Business and the Competition and Consumer Act, any problems with your service must be reported within 1 week of the original service by phone call or in person. All policies are in compliance with the Small Business and the Competition and Consumer Act.

MAINTAINING RECORDS
21. We protect your personal information in line with privacy laws.
22. You’re responsible for keeping your contact details up to date.
23. Any payment obligations must be settled immediately.

GUARANTEES
24. We use premium products and deliver professional results. Longevity cannot be guaranteed unless using SOHA-recommended home care products or if you swim regularly.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
25. Due to QLD Occupational Health and Safety laws, children under 18 must stay seated and supervised.
26. We ask that children under the age of 18 are always accompanied in the salon by adults and carefully monitored. If possible avoid bringing a plus one such as children, family or friends as we get quite busy and want all our clients to have an enjoyable experience while in salon.
27. Be advised that personal items are your responsibility, and the salon will not be held liable for any personal items that are lost or damaged.

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
28. Please keep devices on silent to maintain our relaxing atmosphere.
29. Arrive with clean, dry hair, shampooed within 48 hours, and avoid heavy styling products.
30. Attending with wet hair can cause delays or skin irritation.
